I started drawing a little serpent’s head on the front of the leg. I am getting into the details of shading the bands of color that are floating across the leg.
A lot of the ideas for shapes that go through my mind when I draw come from the art deco buildings in Los Angeles where I grew up. I remember old movie houses and buildings in downtown Los Angeles that had gargoyles and art deco facade all over. I also worked one summer at the Santa Monica Pier on the carousel. The artwork on carousels is something that I really enjoy and if you look at my artwork you may see some of those shapes and styles in the things that I draw
