Sketch of the day number 132

I did come up with a working title for this drawing on May 19, 2018. I am calling it the Sea Weed Dragon. I use to live by the beach in San Diego. Mission Beach was my home in my college days. I use to body surf and ride a kneeboard in the ocean. When I was waiting for waves in between sets, I would sort of freak out if my legs brushed against seaweed with my legs dangling across my board. I would tell myself, it is just seaweed and not jellyfish or worse case a shark. I was always relieved when a wave would come and I could ride it into shore forgetting my momentary fear of being 100 to 200 yards away from land. Once the ride was over, the energy rush that I got from riding the wave made me forget the fear of waiting for a wave so I would paddle out and wait for another wave.

The colors in this drawing and the swirling rounded shapes reminded me of my days when I was in the ocean almost every day. I miss swimming in the ocean and letting the waves engulf me as I flipped around like a piece of kelp.
